Gloomy car sales figures

The new car retail figures are frankly looking quite gloomy. Do you think things are likely to pick up this year?

What are the advantages and benefits of fewer new car sales?

The only plus side is the second hand values will not drop as much, especially if you have a new model that people want but are on long lead times. I feel for the workers who are probably looking at semi-shutdowns again as there will be too many cars sitting around on dis-used airfields waiting for forecourt spaces to fill.

I'm working at Bentley Motors in Crewe currently as they are expanding so it can't be that bad! They have seen a massive increase in sales in China lately.

I also was thinking this would be good for used car values.
