Default Fuel - up yet again.

Every time I have filled up over the last 2 months I have paid a higher price. It's just gone up again to 119p (that's the cheapest I can find in our town!)

Has the Shell drivers blockage affected supply where you are? Why do people rush out to buy fuel and then cause a shortage?

Do you think the latest price hike is just profiteering during a percieved fuel crisis?

It is profiteering by the OPEC companies. And we still pay too much duty.

on the front of one scottish paper. theres a garage where hes chargeing £1.99 a liter for both petrol and desiel.
sitting reading a bit in the express last night. that currently a litre of petrol is around 36p the rest is tax and vat. ok that i did know, what i didnt was that the oil taken out of the north sea for the uk is also taxed at around 50%. so although these oil comanies are making billions every year its on a world wide scale. it made a nice read

paid £1.27 for super on friday

It is worldwide - nothing like restricting supply to assist margins.

And given the way UK and USA have been buggering about in Iraq and now Afganistan over the last few years I don't blame 'em for drying us out.

The SHELL strike is about tanker's drivers' pay, not fuel prices.

Find out how much you pay in fuel tax per year with this calculator. It takes your last fill up and price of fuel to calculate the result.

http://www.torquecars.com/tools/Fuel-tax-calculator.php

Warning - do not do this at work. Your language in response to it might offend!
