Default Fuel in 10 years time

What dominent fuel source will power our cars in 10 years time?

Will cars be sipping petrol or will hydrogen, electric or fusion plants be driving new cars?

I think electric cars with fuel cell technology,is the future. Tata motors here in India(the same company that bought Jaguar/ Landrover) is I believe , working on a compressed air car.

10 years time - it will still be petrol.
20 years time then alternative fuel sources, NUCLEAR! Imagine, instead of Nos when we want a spurt of power we could press a button to crack another atom - would certinaly give a whole new meaning to being "thrown back in your seat."

You mean like the 60 billion barrels near the Falklands that are being investigated?

We'll still need to improve economy though, make the petrol last longer and buy time to improve other propulsion sources.

My personal hope is for Hydrogen to be viable. No poisonous exhaust fumes, just pure water - which could be saved in another tank for electrolysing back to Hydrogen.
