| Filling up How many of you (especially those with a couple of cars) have trouble remembering which side of the car the filler cap is on?
Here is the solution, in all cars fuel gages is a picture of a pump. If the nozzle on the pump is on the right then so is your filler cap! If it is on the left then .... (you get the idea!) I bet you all knew this anyway!

| I can't see the manufacturers adopting this (good idea as it is) since it will add 5 pence to the production cost.
What would be handy would be for someone to devise a way to stop you loading petrol into a diesel filler nozzle. The other way round is not possible due to the narrow filler neck on petrol cars.
What about utilising the number plate recognition systems at the forecourt to inhibit anything but the correct fuel?
I suppose this would be bad for manufacturers too as they would lose out on the high cost of draining a diesel system and repairing all the damaged injection equipment. |

| Or drive an old school diesel where you never forgot it was a bloody diesel.
The numbness in your whole body from the vibration; ringing in your ears from the noise and the fact your hair's grown two inches since the start of the journey 'cos it's taken for ever to get anywhere because it's so slow. |

| I might do a paper on the psychosomatic effect of driving an old diesel car.

| Waynne - don't do it if it requires you to drive one personally. You'll be damaged for life. |
