Actually that's my guess - a Jensen Interceptor.

actually I think I know what t69 is thinking of but my choice was the interceptor and they are a genuine hatchback (well my one is)

The rear tailgate opens like a hatchback with the whole rear window and frame lifting up to allow storage behind the seats

1969 and had dual circuit discs all round , abs ( or a vesion of it ) - central locking - leather alloys - air con , etc .
And there was an 4wd version.

Plus in that year some had the tuned high compression 6.3 litre version of the dodge charger engine with a touqueflite auto box (one of the best the yanks made)

Superb cars, growing up in the 70s I wanted one a lot. Closest we got was a p6 rover which was a class car in its time and did at least have a v8 in it.

I'm okay with that, as we don't get Renault here.

Ok, I too hadn't heard of the hyundai veloster until I googled it.

Is there a way to forget things that you see? Copious amounts of booz or maybe a rohipnol or two?

It looks like somthing the French would do to a 1 series.

Awww. I like that car. Now I'm sad :'(

hehe. I'm still going to buy one when the turbo comes out. we don't get really cool hatches here. the VW is overpriced andunderpowered, the american hatches are far too basic, so far, to justify the price (and very underpowered), and we don't get a lot of other ones. we finally got the fiat 500 and that one is kinda cool. but we have to see how they last with harsh, aggressive americans driving them on a prolonged basis.
