does anyone no how can you find out the weight of an engine any sites etc..?

if it doesn't tell you in the manual have a look for a Haynes Manual for it, if not still, go to the dealer, failing that just pull the bugger out and weigh it yourself

I've never really given this any thought, although you always find that nose heavy FWD diesels don't handle as tidily as a petrol counterpart.

You could always approach a dealer and see if workshop manuals give any information. Do it when they're quiet otherwise you'll get short shrift.
