Do you use the M6 Toll?

Do you or would you use the M6 Toll road? The charge is about £4.50 for cars. The distance is about the same as staying on the M6 but the saving is usually in less congestion. Is it worth the £4.50? Would both roads be congested if the Toll charge was dropped?

Do you think Tolls are a good idea? Personally I'd love to see a privately run autobhan stretching from London to Scotland. I'd pay to use it and cover the distance in less time legally without worrying about speed cameras.

the autobahn is a very good idea. i use M6 but not the toll road. when i last went down to london i drove across to the A1 and used that all the way down

I think we'd all love an autobahn here...but it'll never happen.
