Do you get annoyed when other drivers beep when overtaking?

Ok, so you're driving along an A road and you catch up with someone who's slowing you down. The road ahead is clear, its safe to overtake and when you do, the driver you're overtaking beeps or flashes you angrily. Does this annoy anyone else other than me??

It would be pointless getting mad at him for this and just leads to a potential road rage. A good driver keeps out of the way of other motorists and helps to keep the traffic moving.

I get more annoyed when the aforementioned slow driver speeds up as you overtake causing the overtake manoever to be far longer than was required. This sort of thing could lead to a nasty crash. Generally drivers will not mind you overtaking if you give them a lot of room. Approaching with speed already built up and your lights on seems to pacify them wheras a 4 mile stretch being 2 inches from their boot and leaving a small gap as you cut in is likely to wind them up.
