| Do you believe the adverts on performance parts When you look on the box of "mega tuning shiny parts" and it says you
get "guaranteed increased power" and
"upto 30bhp more" do you believe this?
Would you buy a part on the spur of the moment or does it have to be recommended or reviewed before you would consider it?

| Re: Do you beleive the adverts on performance parts These adverts are rubbish. Always research a part before buying it!

| Re: Do you believe the adverts on performance parts not always, look at the ecotek valve ( http://www.ecotekvalve.co.uk/) remember these!!!
well they obviously never covered themselfs very well, check out ( http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/adjudicati...ation_id=37807)
The resistors mod chips on ebay *DO* work, but at the expense of fuel, and drivability, they fool the engine management into thinking it is really *COLD* therefore it gives it a squirt more fuel.
some air filters work well on some cars, not all air filters work well on all cars.
some claims are very exagerated, but some of the devices do make a noticble difference - expecially when combined with other mods. |

| Re: Do you believe the adverts on performance parts We should also remember that cars all come with differnt power levels. A 160 bhp car can hit the streets from new with anything from 150 - 170 bhp. Some makers like Porsche guarantee a tighter tolerance on power but most leave it up to the luck of the draw. |
