just found these if there any interest to anyone? im definatley getting some although im going to look into it a bit more first. good / bad idea?

they need to be welded to the existing strut bodies
where if you have gas in them ,you will have a problem .
cause gas fillled shocks do not like heat !!

these are good for insert type shocks though

You could always lower the ride height by chucking a couple of 25 kilo sacks of spuds in the boot. Adjust headlamp aim, and there ya go!

It's true, five adults, a boot full with luggage and a roofrack make an enormous difference. Especially with smaller cars. My current car weighs in at over 1400kg unladen but even that can be a bit, err, reluctant in bends when fully loaded.
