| Re: can someone explain to me? i like wiki too but bit wearly when it comes some stuff, remember you can go on and edit something
ie fitting a branded induction kit to a 1.1 saxo will give it an instant 15% increase in power. its only on certian stuff that has to be confirmed.
allways double check
A dad is also helpful - they came from a time when cars were cars not computers with wheels. mines showed me how to do basics. changing brake discs and pads, air filters, oil changes and some wiring. having
having an older car aslo helps something that you have to fix up rather than taking it to a dealer for them to plug into a machine and it tell you what was wrong |

| Re: can someone explain to me? Most of my knowledge has come from this forum. I had very limited knowledge, but not long after joining I found myself giving newbs advice just like I had received advice. Another good source of information is to pick up a book or a magazine (I used to read Max Power before it was ruined). The articles on this site are very helpful, but you can't beat talking it over with someone in the know.
Clearly you haven't met OG yet...any mistake...he'll soon put you right!

Ooooo, you are awful, but I like you
I try my best.
Haven't read Max Power for a while. Used to be writen by twelve year olds for twelve year olds. Last year or so it had a change of direction and got a lot better. Has it regressed?

Max Power has turned into a lads mag and constantly repeats itself. It was better without the girls , better with the Q & A section, better with proper reviews instead of just a page or a two and I am fed up of smoothed over 206s that feature in every b***** month's issue! |

| Re: can someone explain to me? hi gbaby herb is right, how stuff works is a good way to learn, some members even say forums are a good way to learn.try and become friends with lutonmatt, hes a mechanic,im sure he answer any questions you have,he seems a nice bloke.since i was young,i always found it intresting watching discovery channel, look for car shows such as [the garage,or wheeler dealers with edd china and mike brewer]to be honest i know my fair share on hondas, thats all i will ever drive so tis all im intrested in,but if you want to learn about everything, what other members and i said is the only way to go.[besides becoming a mechanic]
