Default XC90 remap has anyone tried it?

I've been thinking of getting a remap for my Volvo XC90 2.4 D5 to try to get better fuel economy and a bit more grunt. I've been told that Volvo electronics can be a pain.
Has any one tried a remap on a XC90? and if so was it worth it.

Cheers,
Colin

Celtic tuning will remap it for you -

Volvo diesel engines use Bosch ECUs EDC15/16 series so should be as easy to map via the diagnostic port as any other European Diesel.

Don't touch tuning boxes - waste of money

Thanks very much for that but I'm in the north of Scotland. I was more wondering if any one with has done a remap with an XC90 so that I know what figures to expect.
Cheers,
Colin

The 163bhp engine will go to about 210 with about 330lbft

185bhp goes to nearly 230bhp and over 340lbft

These are Celtic figures. You're off to the East of Inverness right? They do cover most of mainland Britain and their work is of very high quality,

Thanks for that. Elgin is East of Inverness. I'll give them a shout in the new year when I find out how much the festive period is going to cost me.
I've heard that there is a Revo place in Inverness. Has any one tried them? Before I had the Volvo it was always VAGs that I bought and I know they did good work with them.
