Hi edk. It`s a bosch pump, with the ecu on top of it. It`s a GM derived unit, as is most of the car, (Saab 9-3) but it does have nice comfy Saab seats! I can`t remember the the pump type and code. I`ll have a look later. I`ve ordered a box from Abbottracing who specialise in Saab tuning. It should be here on Monday. It`s coming from Austria direct, so they maybe don`t have as much to do with the setting up of them as I first thought. As for water injection...which system would you recommend? Would you use the same on a diesel as you would a petrol?

I'm looking into the Devils Own WI. Looks like a good bit of kit and with the progressive controller it seems to be a sound setup. I believe the same kit can be used for both diesel and petrol. Keep the meth down on diesel though as they won't like the high EGTs, however the water injection in itself cools that anyway. It's being tested on TDOCUK forums by a couple of people who have had good results so it really could be a winner. £260 for a kit (with controller), and about 10-30bhp increase possible. I'd say expect 10 without a remap but that's still good bang for your buck Should help make the engine more reliable too with cleaner internals and lower EGTs. MPG increase near guaranteed too.

£260 isn`t bad when you look some of the others for £300-£400. I like the progressive one or full throttle only. I can remember when Saab 99 turbos came out ( I was a young lad then!) and owners could buy a WI kit for them but some of these kits failed and filled the engine with water resulting in disaster. I would think by now they`ll come with cut-outs and fail safe technology.
