Default Problems with my chiptuning, works for a 10000 km and then dies with ½ power left

Hello,

First time in this forum :cheesy:I have a problem with my tuning. I used a chiptuning from Chiptuning-direkt.dk om my 530 E61 (220000 km). All good until the engine loses ½ the power every ~10000 km. Once it workt itself out with a BANG and some smoke, an other time i used the bmw service station. Thay said it was om falts on turbo..and otherwhise on the engine. They only reset the engine.
At that time i asked Chiptuning about my problem. Thay said it´s not common but mentioned EGA turbo and `catalsator sensor`..

Now it happend again

Is there anyone with a soulution on this?

might be blocking up the partical filter if fitted ? not 100% sure however might explain the sudden smoking

That a strage one indeed. Do these engines go into a "cleaning" cycle every 10,000kms?

I've heard reports of problems with turbos, Lambda sensors and AFMs causing similar issues but it gets expensive to keep replacing items in the hope that you hit it.

It does sound like it's getting clogged up and then clearing itself.

Do you use cheap fuel? Stick with Vpower or similar and run some Millers Diesel treatment through and see if that helps.

What sort of journeys do you do? Short runs can be a killer on most engines.

Sounds as if the tuning map is making no provision for the particle filter regeneration.
