| petrol in diesel engine help!!! i have just put £20 of petrol in my 2lt diesel 306, i was advised by a few people to fill to the top with diesel and it should be ok?? i have put £40 diesel on top drove home about 5 miles fine will it be ok??? |

| Re: petrol in diesel engine Yeah it will be ok, just keep topping up with diesel, do about 20 miles then put more diesel in, and add a little but of engine oil just to keep the fuel system lubricated. only something like 500 ml

| Re: petrol in diesel engine Try not to make a habit of it though. If you'd put in much more you'd very likely have wrecked the high pressure pump and the injectors. Rather than engine oil I'd suggets adding two stroke oil. |

| Re: petrol in diesel engine It will work just the same as 2 stroke, any mineral oil be it engine oil or 2 stroke is good, veg oil is ok as well just a small quantity though, 500 ml |
