Default More confusion with the JTD engine

It seems the Jtd multijet engine is/was used by Fiat Group/General Motors
Suzuki and Tata-Fiat.
These manufacturers badges the engine with different acronyms.
CDTi (Opel/Vauxhall)
TiD/TTiD (Saab)
DDiS (Suzuki)
D (Cadillac)
Quadra-Jet (Tata)

So how come the Rover 75 diesel was badged CDTi? I thought they used a BMW diesel engine? Confusing

Point A to B is more than getting to the end, it's about the experience. Some cars are great to own, others are great to drive; there is no comparison as far as driving experience goes.

rover does use a BMW engine. But badging can be anything they like really.

Are these engines (BMW/Rover/MG 2.0 diesel good or best avoided?)
