The newer 2.2 HDi is 172bhp standard and remaps to about 205.

Mine was the earlier one and that showed about 190bhp with over 320lbft. - They're quick.

The Mondeo 2.2 ST TDCi is a better prospect for tuning than the 406 2.2 HDi. It, too will go to over 200bhp.

Parkers figures for ST - 152bhp / 360nm / 265lb ft
BLuefin figures suggest - 182 / 403 / 298 lb ft

HOwever I wonder how the 'overboost' is affected. ie supoosedly the st has an overboost facilty when floored which produces 400nm and 295lb ft. Will that inevitably increase witht the remap also.

Problem with ST currently as someone else has mentioned is that theyre really holding their price with Parkers reportedly showing an increase in price since last months figures

Consideing the aforementioned figures, it seems that the 407 is a better prospect for tuning -

205 bhp / 335lb ft once tuned

YOur previous model -190bhp and 320lb ft seems incredible.
The 2.0 HDI remap quotes 185 bhp and 320 lb ft which seems fantastic also given that it is only a group 11 insurance compared to the 2.2hdi at grp 14 with not much more gain than the 2.0 / easier to find a decent model for much less than an st too.

Im obsessed with this stuff. Still havnt decided on what Im going to go for though

I think the 2.0 HDi you're looking at is the later 136bhp one. The earlier 110bhp unit won't go that far. That's why I bought the 2.2

yeah I speaking about the new 136bhp 2.0hdi.

But then again the figures given by superchips for this are 158bhp / 366nm / 272lb ft -

significantly different than celtictuning???????????

Then again, I dont know or at least I have to get my head around figures that may or may not be quoted at flywheel or at wheel

Not sure how they get so much of a difference here. Must be something to do with that

Celtic do seem to achieve very good figures. Superchips is about 2 miles from me and I've never bothered with them. Celtic are over 250 miles from me and I really rate their services.

The figures quoted are flywheel figures in both cases.

How can they possibly say there is no problem? Are they suggesting that it's supposed to drive the way it does?

Why not go and park it right across the entrance/exit to their premises and refuse to move it until they agree to a full refund?

It worked for me when I had a similar issue.
