Default Diesel additives

Are there any diesel additives that actually work like redex does in petrol?

Does diesel contain the same chemical additives as petrol or is it a totally different forumulation?

Millers DPS 4 is good.

As is Forte Diesel Treatment for a cleanup.

That was quick HDI! What does the Millers do? Is it like an octane booster?

It's a cetane booster, which is vaguely like an octane booster in that it increases avialable performance but works in a totally different way.

It also claims to offer improved injector and pump lubrication. This is a hard claim to prove but I have yet to find anyone who's experienced any negative effects.

Have used the Millers lots of times, didn't really notice any power increases but it certainly made the engines smoother and quieter.
