Loyal members of the site may know of the issues I've had with my polo, but they have all been fixed including a new gearbox, clutch and water pump being fitted last month. The cars on autotrader if anyones interested:

cheers bud. actually its been a nightmare, pure trying to get conned. Guy said he'd send a cheque if i gave him my adress. said the cheque would cover the price of the car plus a few thousand extra. The few thousand extra i would have to withdraw from my account once it had been paid in to give to a shipping agent who will transport the car to Ireland.

Yeah and once the cars gone the bank discovers the cheque fake and im thousands out of pocket and no car. Anyone else heard of scams like this?

thats an easy one you get the check but you send him a letter to say your waiting on the cheque clearing as soon as it does the car will be sent

ive searched about this, they somehow make the cheque clear only for it to be discovered to be fake after the cars gone. I dont know how they do it but from the emails its quite obvious. Ill post up copies of the emails just to let anyone see so no-one else falls for it. Theres a big thing about this on the metropoliton police site.
