I would buy the headunit first alpine,pioneer,sony or the same quality then get the wiring eg 4 guage atleast will be alright up to about 1500 watt depending on amp power then get a amp if you want to amp door speakers get a 4 channel amp power front doors and use the other 2 channels to run sub or get two amps a mono block and a 2 or 4 channel amp depends if your amping 4 door speakers or 2 will be sorted then you can look into a power cap if you decide you need one i have never used one as i only had a 350 watt rms amp

My ICE system consists of

HU - JVC KW-XG701 (Swapped for a Pioneer N/U I used to have in my Megane)
Component Speakers - Urban Sound US013 (6.5" 3Way speakers) (£40 for 4)
6x9 - Pioneer TS-A6903i 350 Watt 3 Way 6x9 Speakers (£70 including fitting to parcel shelf)
Amp - American Pro 600 watt amp 4 channel brigable (£50 second Hand)
Sub - Pioneer TS-W258D4 Dual Voice Coil 25cm 10" Sub 1200 Watts Max 4ohm (£50 second hand)


All of the above has been in my car for the best part of a year with no problems
