Buzz from one speaker

I get an annoying buzz sound from the front left speaker. My last radio was ok but the new one I fitted seems to be about when this started.

Any ideas how I can track the problem down? Is it likely to be an earth problem as someone suggested to me?

not really like to be an earth as such as the speakers earth goes back to the headunit.
check all the plugs are correctly inserted. also might be worth popping off the grill/doorcard and checking the speaker isnt damaged

You could try switching the speakers from right to left and see if the problem moves. Chances are it is just a bad connection somewhere.

Does the buzz happen with the engine off and on or just when the engine is running?

Could even be the headunit itself.
