Default Re: prelude sports button

The sport button simply means the auto 'box will change up at higher revs than it would in standard mode. It won't change the revs while driving at constant speed. It will also make part throttle kickdown happen with less pedal application.

However, the light should remain on steadily. When you say flash, you mean flashes once or flashes constantly?

If it flashes once then it might just be a faulty switch. Try holding the switch down and accelerate from rest on part throttle.

If it flashes constantly its reporting a fault with the gearbox.

Hi
Thanks for your helpfull note, the light on the dash just flashes once, I will try your tip about holding the button down but I think I tried this and again it just flashed once but I will try again with part kick down, the reason I said about the revs. when you put sports mode on my bmw the revs. do change so I presumed all boxes would be the same, as I said in my first note I aint no mechanic.
Thanks again
Pete
