| No you will not be discriminated against so welcome to the site. We are all car mad here and it really doesn't matter what you have. We all started out with smaller or lesser cars in one way or the other.

| Hi everyone, I live in Albany, NY and up until a couple days ago I was the owner of a 1998 Dodge Intrepid ES. I think i totaled it so I will probably be in the market for a new car pretty soon.
I am a student so I am looking for something pretty cheap and used, maybe 4 -5 grand, but still something that I can mod and have fun with. Any suggestions? |

| Hey all... I live in Devon, and work as an IT Manager, so I've got access to lots of IT geek-ness.
I'm not really modding my car (wife won't let me), so I'm just adding loads of hidden touches. Currently installing a motorised fold down screen from the roof to hook up to the iPod video. I'm fully documenting it, so if anyone wants to see progress I can start a thread. |

| Sneaky Wallydogking if you think about it she wont see the engine - so a litle engine swap might be something you can get away with. I am very interested to see your progress - please start a thread in the members gallery forum.
Welcome to the site Boss429. You have my sympathy. I quite like the older mustangs - but are you looking for something more modern? What about an import car like a Honda Civic? I know your petrol prices are going up (they are still cheaper than ours in the uk which is about $2 a litre.)

| I would love to get an older mustang im just afraid if something goes wrong with it I wont be able to find a mechanic who would know what to do with it.
I doubt I'd get very good mileage on it either, especially bc it would be my only car
all that said, once I get a steady job I promised myself I would get a older mustang late 1960s, the car of my dreams.
i have been considering civics, jettas, etc, theyre all still options...thanks for the help! |
