re airbox i tried with a sander and it just melted the plastic. i used a chisel at each join, and scored across the bottom with a stanley a few times then snap them off. then went over with some wet and dry paper ( had no sandpaper lying about ) until it was smooth. im still thinking about fitting vinyl to smooth it just a bit more. |

I think the vinyl would really finish it off as sanding plastic, can only go so far.
Good point on the tints. I think there is only a 5% if anything on these. A good tint shop should be able to advise. I did tints years ago before the law cottened on and i remember they were such a PITA to fit. All that cutting and washing and wetting and squeegieing, I'm going to get them done properly this time. Looks way better if they are sprayed rather than using the film. They will often remove the windable windows so that the finish is that much better.
