Default Newbie - MK1 Astra GTE Turbo

Hi All,

Stumbled across the site whilst reading a write up on a V6 Mk1 Astra.

Well I also have a Mk1 Astra running a chipped 2.0 16v Turbo (C20LET) and a 6 speed box (F28 ) giving 272BHP.
Full custom made leather interior too

The car had a ground up restoration over the last 18 months (a re shell of my old one) and now looks like this. Hope you like

That is absolutely awesome - nice job! I bet it is fun to drive. Do you have traction issues in every gear?

I found some pics of my old 1982 Mk1 Astra yesterday - I'll try and post them up. It was the Black and gold limited edition EXP and was my second car.

Hi Herb,

The colour is Antigua Blue from the VX Tigra Roadster.
Yes, they are Mk2 Astra Champion edition Connelly leather Recaro's which I had re trimmed with the grey inserts along with rear bench and door cards.

I have loads of pics which I'll post off for ya mate no problem.

Hi again chaps. Forgot about this forum but I just received a friendly email reminder. Still got the car and loving it She was voted best in club by the members of the Mk1 Astra Club at this years VBOA rally at Billing so was also entered into the Chairmans cup. Do you guys organise any meets around London, would be great to meet up and check out some other cool motors?

Have some pic's

v
