Looking for tips about cheap mods

Hi.
I've had my fiesta for nearly three years now but I've only just picked up the courage to actually start doing anything to it! I'm a bit scared of the DIY.

I haven't got much money to spend on it though so I'm just looking for tips on cheap ways of making it look better. Also I'm a girl so I don't have mates/family etc talking to me about cars all the time.

I'm hoping this forum will help me understand cars and engines better.

start with some simple things such as basic service :
oil filter
oil
air filter
sparks

just get someone else to watch over you while you do it, youll soon learn the simple stuff
