Default Hi guys

Hello all ... my name is Kyle and im 20!

I live in Gillingham,Kent!

Was just browsing around as I want to get myself a project going, consisting of transforming a standard 1.1 Mk3 Fiesta and doing a conversion to turn it into and XR2i. So as you can imagine, im just going around and getting as much info as I possibly can!

Thanks All,
Kyle

Hi Kyle and welcome to TorqueCars. I reckon you can do better than an XR2i - some of the newer Ford engines are awesome. By all means make it look like an XR2i but go for some more ooomph under the bonnet.

Why are you starting with a 1.1 - you'll have so much to change from suspension to wheels and exhaust. Starting with a 1.4 you will have better brakes and will be a bit closer to your aim.

Are you planning to do the work yourself?

Hi Kyle, thought I'd respond to another newbie. I'm intrested in your plan to do an XR2. I was planning on doing something along the same lines. Pick up a cheap Corsa / Clio / Fiesta etc and start making something a little special. Why did you decide on the Fiesta apart from the fact that old Fords are special?
