Smile Hello from Xtian

Greetings all,

My name is Christian, username Xtian. I'm from Hamilton New Zealand. And I drive a 1972 Mini 1275GT
I Have just finished re-installing the motor after a complete recondition. The body and interior are in reasonable condition, some work will need to be done. Under the bonnet is a little ugly as someone hand painted, with brush strokes and all, some bitumen looking substance throughout. Bit sad when recon motor is all shiny.
Can't wait to start driving it again as it has been off the road for about a year.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
As for future plans for the mini, as funds permit I'll be painting the roof white, (too hot in dark green), thinking of a Union Jack flag. Possibly GT strips along the sills. Remote gear shift needs a recon, as the gear stick falls to the left a little in first gear. A little rust must be dealt with also. After that... who knows, there's always something...
