Greetings from sunny Hertfordshire

I'm dave and I drive a 1999 318i SE.

I found the site via Google and was very impressed.

I have no thech expertise at all and was looking to find info about 'performance' air filters.

Thanks to all who contribute and make this such a usefull resource for people like me!!

I dont know much about Air Filters but what I do know is that their worth getting. They improve the cars performance, give off a nice sound and are very cheap (compared to other modifications).

I suggest you look at models that will fit your car within your budget, specifically from K&N or Piper cross (Manufacturers).

Don't forget to get a cold air feed pipe or a bonnet vent to allow the engine to suck in loadsa oxygen. Cotton filters are better then sponge or foam ones but just about anything is better than the standard paper ones the manufactures make us put up with.
