Hello people, I hope i'm doin this right in the right places? (1st time forum user!)
I a need a question aswered, for drifting i've been told 2 things, 1:you need a good LSD!
2: you need to weald up your diff and lock it!

Which is it??

Either. A welded diff will work fine, but a proper spool diff is better for obvious reasons. You'll also be able to drift on a normal 1.5 or 2 way LSD. What you don't want is an open diff.

right, so whats an open diff then? is that where your diff don't work properly and all you do is spin 1 wheel?

Yes an open diff has no ability to lock at all so (as you quite rightly say) just spin one wheel.
