Question track car and/or road

which would you rather have, a fast car that you use on the road, have a huge insurance bill or have a moderatly fast car on the road an spend the money you would be saving on insurance on a car that flys round the track that one day when you have got the ncd an over 25 then insure it for the road (if its road legal that is).

tbh i would go for the latter, as then you get a decent enough car for the roads comftable, fastish but safe, then instead of tuning that leave it standard (mabye a couple hundred tuning nothing ott) an put all of the money you would be modifying it into a race car THEN take it on the road an sell your other one when you can afford it.

this is what im thinking of doing.

audi a4/a3 1.8t for the road, couple of hundred spent on perfomance tuning.
then
a supra twin turbo at 450bph for track/strip

go with your idea's/ current setup
