I had some and they were terrible. Everytime I needed them they were cold and I had that - I REALLY REALLY NEED TO STOP NOW feeling. As soon as they warmed up they worked well and were pretty fade resistant so I would say unless you always drive on the brakes your better off avoiding race pads for the road. Get some race pads for a track day - its very easy to smoke standard pads in a competition environment.
