Default Re: Are you killing your car.

1. i changed the oil on sunday and checked it yesterday morning (had been working mon tues and didnt move the car after changing it ) only problem was put slightly too much in drained off bout 100ml opps looked to be on the max mark at the time glad id only done about 10 miles

2. my tyre pressures are slightly higher than specified but i find it runs better

3. generally drive slow the 1.5 miles from the 30mph limit an give it a min to cool down longer if its been driven hard

4. try not to max revs i use is around 2.5 - 3k (6.5 red line)

5. short journeys 2 work, 3 miles each way, rest of the time i generally walk now

6 i could count on both hands how many times i have had it near the red

7. Nope

8. Quite bad at holding the clutch down when sitting in traffic

9. Apart from misgearing it the 1st couple of days i had it Nope change down at 2k and up at 3 -3.5k

10. Nope wash it once a week

so in real terms 5 and 8
