What are the most lame speeding excuses you can think of (some of the suggestions below have been used!)

I was running out of fuel and had to get home as soon as possible.
I was looking at the rev counter instead of the speedo.
Whats speeding mean officer?
The cruise control just took over.
I was stung by a bee.
My wifes having a BABY!

I'm sure you can think of lots more than me.
