Part of my resolution is to reduce my main road speeds. I've got into the habit of going extremely quickly on all derestricted roads. Not that I speed without thought or planning but sadly there's no defence against 104mph in a 70 limit regardless of whether you're driving safely or not. Maybe the fuel price increases will help me achieve my goal. Clearly a six month ban and two grand fine would work too but I'd rather not get clobbered.

Failing that I flog the Peugeot and buy a bog basic 1.4 Astra. Or Smart Car?

Any ideas?
