Sadly the insurers look at gathered data and statistics. It means that any of us who want to drive lively cars will pay for doing so.

Try privilege (http://www.privilege.com) and see if they can help. They happily insure me in a re-mapped car which has caused problems with lots of other underwriters.

Privilege is part of the Royal Bank of Scotland group, which includes Direct Line and Churchill, amongst others. They seem to specialise in lively cars and capable drivers so you might get lucky.
