Can you fiddle with the actuators and bypass it? You might even get a decent re-map specialist to cripple it at the ECU.
Lots of folks claim to do this and it removes the risk of further failures.
EGR valves are questionable things - to my mind there's no point in having a device that cuts emissions by a gram or two over its [short] life and then making loads of greenhouse gas in the factory that has to keep making replacement ones. |
