People spend thousands on a car through modifications and it only raises the cars value by a couple of hundred. Your best bet is to put removable Modifications on the car such as alloy wheels, air filters, bucket seats, sound system etc... so you can sell the car as standard and keep all the Modifications for your next car. Body-kits and engine work is obviously permanent and will loose you money in the long run but is usually worth it at the time.
