wots wrong with a derv unit it works in the same way as a petrol but higher compression and no spark (combusts due to pressure much the same way as knocking in a petrol but timed properly)

I'm the derv fuelled engine enthusiast. Apart from the extra engine mass, which can compromise road feel and handling I love diesels. For no other reason than the sheer mid range muscle they offer. Usually more heavily buit ehich can make the steering a bit slower, a good diesel motor is so bloody driveable .
