Not sure diesel is the economy choice any more. Servicing is frequent and costlier than petrol cars with similar performance. As is the fuel and RVED.
This is the price of progress. Diesels now easily outrun petrol cars with similar size engines but I sometimes wonder about ditching my 2.2 HDi (which truly files) for something with a 3.0 litre plus petrol engine. Absorb the fuel costs but get away with much simpler, cheaper maintenance. |
