You had a lucky run there!

Im not sure there is much difference in stopping distances in modern cars. Audi & Toyotas stop almost dead with their superb ABS but there are still quite a few cars out there with rubbish brakes. The drivers reaction time is still a major factor so thinking distance is about the same. Should we have a shorter listed stopping distance? I guess it depends what the driver is going to be driving.

People still drive too close to the car in front if you ask me though! (Rant over!) Even with ABS etc and we still see multiple rear end shunts
