Yes my car has about 6 airbags and I hope never to use them but feel a lot safer knowing that they are there. A lot of aftermarket steering wheels are actually quite dangerous as they do not hide the main steering shaft tip under a protective layer of foam/rubber. It would cost too much to build an aftermarket wheel with an airbag so your best bet is to visit the scrapyard and buy a wheel from the hot hatch version of your car which will probably have an airbag and make sure you get all the wiring you need to fit it correctly. |
