HI welcome to the site - a tuning club is a really good idea. It will, I'm sure, have a lot of support. It may sound daft but you might be able to persuade the school to provide a go-cart as a project which you can either build from scratch or tune up yourselves. (It will be cheaper and will teach you the basics of tuning and handling and automotive setup!)
Failing that you really need a car with a big supply of parts a Nova or Corsa is probably a sensible base and doing an engine/gearbox swap with a cavalier or astra will dramatically increase power and again provide tuning experience as you apply other tweaks to the engine. |
