Oh yeah, a high ratio geabox would be a good idea too, possibly use one from a 1.6 or 1.8 Zetec (if it will fit on your engine). You will loose some top end by doing this but you wil get there a whole lot quicker, which like I say, is the important thing. Get your 0-60 time down to about 5-6 seconds with gear ratio's that will give you a top speed of 100-110 mph and you should be able to get a 12 sec 1/4 mile.
