Ravs Superb Supra tuning tips
"Supra Hero!"
What the best thing about owning your car?
It's got lots of tuning potential and 320bhp straight out of the box. The car gets lots of attention and being able to beat all those BMW M3 and Porsche 911 owners is an added bonus.
What's your hairiest moment in the car?
When it was icey last year, I pulled out of a motorway services onto the slip road and was achieving around 100leptons by the time I joined the motorway, but ended up sideways for about 10 metres! Luckily there was no one else on the road and I managed to straighten up the car before I had a close encounter with the central reservation barrier.
What rubber do you use?
Falken 19/30/265 on rear and Falken 19/35/235 on fronts.

What's it like in the wet?
The Supra has a standard traction control system, but it really doesn't help once the car is running more power and the rear end can become happy if pushed around corners in the wet! Can be fun if controlled well.
Which modification had the biggest effect on the cars performance?
Fitting the boost controller gave the car a much stronger acceleration once the second turbo kicks in. Although the decat and exhaust also had a good effect on performance.
What stats do you have 0-60 time peak torque (fuel economy!)
0-60 is 4.9 secs standard, so it's probably around 4.5 now. Fuel economy is probably around 14-18mpg around town and 25-28mpg on motorways - 6th gear is pretty handy for motorway driving without using 2nd turbo.
How long have you owned the car and what are your long term plans for it?
I have owned the car for 2.5yrs now and I am intending on fitting a larger front mounted intercooler next and front bodykit. I am considering NOS and a programmable ECU after that. I will happy when it achieves 500bhp.
